Genesis 37:12-36

ΠNo one is immune from adversity.

A theology’s value is proven in crisis. 

                        He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Matthew 5:45

A parent’s job is to equip and prepare their children for upcoming adversity.  

·      Those who try to insulate you cannot do so forever.

·      Those who are closest to you may let you down.    

A mob will have a tendency to sink to the level of its lowest participant. 

What people call coincidence is a part of God’s providence for our lives. 

 Adversity can change your life in an instant.

You don’t even know what tomorrow will bring—what your life will be! For you are like smoke that appears for a little while, then vanishes.

Ž Sometimes God uses adversity for you to experience Him.           

Today’s Takeaway

·        Prepare your mind for the prospect of adversity.                            

• Strive for unconditional faithfulness.

• Trust God when you cannot see Him. 

I will be with you when you pass through the waters,
 and when you pass through the rivers, 

they will not overwhelm you.
 You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire,
 and the flame will not burn you.

Isaiah 43:2

• Remember the Gospel; a Savior who will give His life for you will stay with you when your life is hard.
