Ross Newell

Alan sat down with Ross Newell before his show at the Sunstroke House. Ross kicks the show off with, 'I Know That Man', from there he shares his influences and growing up in Mobile, AL. You may know Ross from his previous bands, Hamelin or the Mulligan Brothers. Ross and Alan discuss the different avenues of songwriting, and how coming from a place that is sincere and honest is difficult but best. Ross shares band stories, recording the albums, touring, and a twice in a lifetime experience. The show close with, 'Great Grandaddy's War', a song that resonates with a Southern man, who has left the ideals and beliefs of his ancestors behind.
