In today's first reading, St Paul tells us that with the help of God he is able to master anything that comes his way whether it's poverty or any form of hardship. For God is our strength. If we walk in the path of God, He will be pleased with us and fulfil all our needs as lavishly as only God can.
In the Gospel Today, we are reminded that "God knows your hearts". We should, unlike the Pharasees, care little about what others think of us. We should not waste our time being preoccupied and obsessed with flattering and presenting a false image of ourselves to others. We should just worry about living in the truth and what is in the heart of God. For that is all that really matters.
Let us pray that God will give us the grace and help to see what is in his heart and to have concern only about how God sees us.
