MAKE A CHOICE - WISDOM TO HELP: 6th Sunday OT A

Brothers and sisters on this 6th Sunday in OT A, the readings reveal to us divine wisdom, a wisdom which is beyond human understanding. This wisdom, the cross of Jesus Christ, we are told in the second reading surpasses the ruler of this world and can only be obtained by the spiritually mature.
The first reading from the book of Ecclesiasticus reminds us that it is now within our reach to be faithful or not because God has placed in our hands life and death, and we must make a choice.
In the Gospel, Jesus challenges us to not only follow his commandments but also to teach others to do the same.Christ is not asking us to obtain a degree in theology in order to do this but to do so by the examples of our lives.
Let us pray today that we will make the Divine wisdom of the cross the right model of our desires. And that God will give us the enabling grace to follow and obey His commandments so that we can enjoy His blessings even more. Amen.
