The readings remind us of our call by God. He calls us because he loves us and he desires that we spend eternity with Him in heaven. We are reminded that like the Israelites & disciples in the 1st reading & Gospel, we are called to be a people set apart for God, called to follow His commandments and live a life of holiness so as to reflect God's glory.
