What is art and its worth? What makes something art and not-art? Pretentious and overreaching? Probably! But we're honest about it. Val and I hit lots of gongs and pans and make some good noise I think. We talk about fan creations, the dreaded ai, art as religion, eating lead paint, and maybe a little bit about why creating something real (away from value judgements, the fall of capitalism), is so important to human animals. At least for these two beasts anyway.
"The arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven's sake." K.V.
Cheers y'all!
