Dave Hamilton's Digital Journey: From Mac Observer to Podcasting Pioneer

Mac Geek Gab and Gig Gab Podcast Host Dave Hamilton celebrates his near 20-year legacy in podcasting and the journey therein, culminating in an upcoming appearance at Podcast Movement.  

Dave discusses the evolution of the Mac Observer website, from its origins as a news and review site for Apple's Mac products to its expansion into iPhone coverage and podcasting. 

 Driven by his tech enthusiasm and background as a musician, Dave Hamilton co-founded Mac Observer and later integrated podcasting into its offerings. He reflected on the transition of their business model from content-focused to business-to-business, leading to the creation of Backbeat Media, which now manages sponsorships for websites and independent podcasters.

Dave also touched on starting the 20th year of his podcast, highlighting changes in technology, marketing strategies, and the importance of quality and community in podcasting.
