Operation Northwoods was a proposed CIA operation from 1962 that proposed the United States would launch a series of false flag terror attacks in order to justify a war on Cuba. Although president John F. Kennedy eventually turned down the proposed operation, some citizens have come to see Operation Northwoods as the idyllic reason for distrust in the government.
