77: Why White House Must Call for Cutting US Meat Production to Tackle Climate Crisis at PCRM.org

Cutting meat production is critical to tackle climate change, and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine explains why they’ve petitioned the White House to update their executive order accordingly.

The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine is a non-profit organization founded by Dr. Neal Barnard, combining the clout and expertise of more than 12,000 physicians, dietitians, and scientists and almost 200,000 members worldwide. They’re changing the way doctors treat chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and cancer - putting prevention over pills,and  empowering patients to take control of their own health. And since 1985, the Physicians Committee has worked tirelessly for alternatives to the use of animals in medical education and research, and for more effective scientific methods.

The Physicians Committee is dedicated to saving and improving human and animal lives through plant-based diets and ethical and effective scientific research.
