John Heisman led Georgia Tech to some successful seasons on the gridiron. They played in the Rose Bowl and won shortly after he left the school. This would be the first leg of winning each of the major bowl games in the era, and the circuit of GT being victorious in the Cotton, Sugar, and Orange Bowls would soon follow before World War II, making them the first school to do so.
