As all lovers of Good Good Music know, there was and always will be only one Quincy Jones aka The Dude. Quincy Jones transitioned from this earthly plane on November 3rd, 2024 at the ripe young age of 91!! Along his spectacular journey he created a creative legacy that is unsurpassed in the world of music. First as a Jazz trumpeter playing in Lionel Hampton's Big Band, then as a leader of his own Big Band. He was also music composer, a conductor and an arranger. He wrote music for Jazz Orchestra, Oscar winning movie soundtracks and award winning television programs. He broke into the record business and produced hit records for Jazz, R&B and Pop superstars. Universally loved and admired Quincy Jones was a world citizen who kept the main thing the main thing. And for Quincy the main thing was music. There was no genre or style he didn't appreciate and like all geniuses he had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge regarding his craft. A self described workaholic Quincy strove to be the best and it is hard to argue that he wasn't. I encourage you to do your research and find out all you can about the legacy of The Dude! I present to you my humble little tribute to an artist that brightened my life through his immense catalog of recorded sounds... and stuff like that.Thank you Q for your eternal gift, and to all my listeners, enjoy my mix and as you listen I hope you take simple this truth with you... "Everything must change, nothing stays the same, everyone must change, no one stays the same. The young become the old and mysteries do unfold, because that's the way of time... nothing and no one goes unchanged. There are not many things in life you can be sure of... except rain comes from the clouds, sun lights up the sky and music makes me cry" - (lyrics from "Everything Must Change" written and performed by Benard Ighner, produced by Quincy Jones for his 1974 album "Body Heat")Enjoy,Brian "Katzpheno" Phoenix
