Have you ever said “I should have done this” or “I should have done that”? We are all guilty of this. We’re probably not aware we are doing it. I want to rid myself of this negative practice and replace it with a more positive one. What is wrong with saying I should instead of I could, I choose, I desire, I want or I love?
Show notes:
What state of mind are you in? Apparently, the answer comes from what you feel and say. Doing this podcast with Margery Miller has enlightened me on how negative it is to say I should have done …. I’m now more cognizant of what I say and am looking to replace “I should” with:
These three phrases represent the highest level of consciousness.
4. I want to …. Social thinking
This is the bridge between the highest level of consciousness and the lowest levels of consciousness which are:
5. I need to … Security thinking
6. I should or I ought to …. Survival thinking
7. I got to or I must or I have to …. Desperation thinking
The lowest levels of consciousness thinking manifests itself in the closed minded people who live paycheck to paycheck as opposed to the open minded people who think in the highest level of consciousness and are reaping what they sow as a result.
I hope this podcast resonates with all of you. That’s why the question “what state of mind are you in” is so relevant. Revisit what you say and take note of it because you do have a choice. Margery leaves everyone with the word GAS that we can adopt as our daily mantra:
“Gratitude, Appreciation and Self Discipline”
