In this episode, I speak to Benjamin Lipscomb the author of the new book The Women are Up to Something: How Elizabeth Anscombe, Philippa Foot, Mary Midgley, and Iris Murdoch Revolutionized Ethics. Benjamin is a professor of philosophy, specializes in contemporary ethical theory, the history of philosophy (particularly the history of ethics), legal interpretation, town planning, and Christian worship. His overarching concern, across all these areas, is with issues of character formation.

In the conversation, Benjamin and I discuss:

  • His path to philosophy
  • How we think with others
  • The meaning of ethics
  • How four philosophers revolutionized ethics
  • Wisdom for everyday life and much more
