Phil here:  I didn't do a lot of deep digging in this episode.  I drop a few tidbits on the behind-the-scenes stuff, but not too many.  I mostly just gave a debut-to-present rundown of important moments for the character.  This means I didn't do a ton of research other than checking out some comic covers and other light check-ups to cover my bases.  I will drop a few interesting links I found, though.
