Today is a special day for me; it is the 29th anniversary of my brother’s passing. He was 22 when he was killed in a motorbike accident, in what, I can now say in retrospect, were very unlucky and trivial circumstances. There is a reason why I am sharing his story. We often don’t think much about the consequences of our actions, especially when these actions are deemed “legal” and “socially acceptable”. However a word or an act made on autopilot can have tremendous implications in our lives and those of others. These decisions, often taken mindlessly, can generate outsized outcomes.
