You quite likely have seen José Amador's work in any number of 14/48 festivals over the years, but you may have seen his work as an actor this last spring in On The Train, which was part of The Shattered Glass Project's New Works Festival, or before that in Cafe Nordo’s ONĒRUS. You might be more familiar with his work as a director, most recently with Theater Anonymous’ IT’S A WONDERFUL LIVESTREAM 2020, Theater Schmeater’s TWO SISTERS AND A PIANO, or amador/stokes’ world premiere of DUELS. As a playwright, his solo shows, EL HIJO PRODIGO and AGUE: A BODY HORROR, were recently presented in repertory at 18th & Union.

Check out his Spotify-playlist-centered podcast with Jim Jewell, The Needle Exchange on Substack, and Spotify.
