36. Marc Weisi and Gonzalo Trenosky - From Duplex to STR to Syndication!

Welcome back entrepreneurs! Today we interviewed Marc Weisi and Gonzalo Trenosky, Founders of Maple Capital Partners. Marc is a director in the financial space and Gonzalo Marc and Gonzalo found each other through Bigger Pockets and then launched their partnership with a duplex in 2018 using the BRRR strategy. Later that year, this led to a passive investment in a short term rental (STR) in which Marc and Gonzalo had to step into the shoes of the general partners and take over the deal. By 2019 the duo had the opportunity to try their hand with the syndication model as co-sponsors. In 2021, Marc and Gonzalo had sponsored a 32 unit deal in Louisville, KY!

Marc has a lot to say about why he likes Louisville! In addition to many of the better known attractions such as the Bourbon Trail, the birthplace of Muhammad Ali and the home of the Louisville Slugger, Louisville is also a major shipping hub as home to the second largest cargo airport in the US!
