One way each of us can create a legacy of learning and giving is to donate our bodies upon our death so that the study of anatomy and how the body works may continue for tomorrow’s medical students and research moving forward.
The Anatomy Bequest Program at the University of Minnesota allows individuals to donate their bodies for medical education and research after death. Today we learn about the program's history, purpose, and significance, as well as the process of donating a loved one's body. Donating one’s body is a win-win for both the university and the donors' families.
Today’s episode was produced by me Anne Morehouse with original music created and performed by Caileen Viehweg.
