The silent treatment was always my go-to. Before I had actual tools to handle conflict and disappointment, I just shut down. 

For me, this was a learned behavior... and I had NO IDEA how damaging it was to my partner. I thought that by ignoring and "punishing" my partner, he would somehow see things my way and come running to me as if we were in some RomCom.
