What would a superhero do if his powers only came to the forefront when he felt positive about himself? In Rise, Trevor explores issues of masculinity and what it means to be a man in today’s society. To many people, the superhero myth is a male power fantasy in which a physically imposing figure solves his problems through violence and intimidation but in Rise Fernandes-Lenkiewicz hopes to take a deeper look at that dynamic and pull it apart a bit.
