Location: Barangaroo Reserve
Sydney, Australia
Guest: Timothy Gray
It's the final episode of Season 3!
And what better way to go out than with this great dispatch from Sydney. I'm joined by Timothy Gray - poet, radio presenter, musician, guide, cultural ambassador, elder and all around good guy. Tim is a Gumbayngirr/Wiradjuri/Bidjigal man based in Redfern, Sydney.
We strolled through Barangaroo Reserve on the shores of Sydney Harbour, talking about the history of this poignant place near to where the British first arrived in Australia. We talk about the stories of the area and its transition from docks to park, about art and about natural landscapes, spirits, ghosts, cultures and politics - and the people who've lived longest on this island. Thanks so much for contributing Tim.
I hope you loved this season. Stay tuned for SEASON FOUR - coming this summer!
And don't forget to check out my new book City Parks, which is out this week! :)
As always GRAZIE to Lucia Scazzocchio, Luke Jones (do listen to his brilliant podcast https://southgirlproductionmusic.com/category/podcast-production/), Rosie Wilby (https://www.instagram.com/breakupmonologues/?hl=en) and Mae-Li Evans for encouragement, production support and advice. There would be no podcast without these people. THANKS GUYS.
Park Date is about mixing the silly with the serious so do listen out for the original comedy we're slotting in between and after the interviews (which are hopefully pretty funny themselves).
Do review, subscribe and like. Namecheck as many trees as possible in your reviews and make them as surreal as possible - I have a very nice prize to give out to the writer of the funniest review.
