A heart patch hears what doctors might miss

Researchers at Cambridge and Birmingham have developed a flexible handheld patch with six vibration sensors that records high-quality heart sounds, even through clothing. Tested on volunteers, the device outperformed some digital stethoscopes and could make heart disease screening more accessible, comfortable, and affordable if future trials succeed.
