In this episode I am sharing some a message that I heard after a recent interview with Michael Hingson, and how as humans we play a constant what if game and if we could be more like a dog and let things go and move on, or as Ted Lasso says, “be the goldfish” and forget it.
In today’s episode we discuss:
1) The what if game is putting a ton of emphasis and pressure into future events, trying to predict how they will turn out, what might happen, who will say what, how we will react etc, and we are playing with a ton of unknowns. Plus we have no idea how we will react or what it will look like. The most difficult moments in my life, I couldn’t have predicted or planned and definitely couldn't have opened up a book to figure out how I would respond. 2) What if we played the “wouldn’t it be cool game” instead, playing in possibilities, unexpected, open ended circumstances and playing in investing in the best possible outcome instead of the worst case scenario. We are creating our life with every single thought and emotion we have and are feeling, so why not give ourselves a better, fighting chance in possibilities?
