The 1990's decade in WA Country Cricket was one of the strongest in recent memory. The Peel Cricket Association was a dominant force during that time and when it came to Peel Cricket, there was no bigger name or family, than the Wyllie family. In this episode, we capture that decade plus much more as we hear the journey of John Wyllie, who embodied the very essence of the Mandurah Cricket Club for over 3 decades along with Peel Cricket, in a way that is both captivating to listen to and a fantastic trip down memory lane. John's legacy flows deep with son Teague currently being arguably the hottest new talent in WA Cricket and already a Sheffield Shield winning player. Add to this, John's daughter Georgia, who is also making her way through WA representative Cricket programs and the Wyllie family name continues to demonstrate and evidence WA Country Cricket in a powerful way. We also hear in this episode from Jo Davies, who is the current General Manager of Community Cricket at the WACA. Jo outlines some important strategies leading into the 2022/23 Cricket season and what that means for WA Country Cricket. Jo discusses the roll out of Play HQ in the coming seasons as well as Cricket Australia's new strategic plan for upcoming and future seasons. Sit back and enjoy Episode 10 of Out on the Paddock.
