Lesson Summary:

This week, the Zoramites who are poor in Spirit and poor in means find relief in the words of Alma and Amulek. Alma will teach them about planting seeds of truth and nourishing emerging young growth. He’ll help them connect to ancient prophets and increase their faith one hope-filled step at a time. We’ll also study Amulek’s testimony of the great and last sacrifice of Jesus Christ, followed by his earnest warnings about this life being the time to meet God.

Questions to Consider:

Alma 32:3-4 | How are poor in the things of the world and poor in spirit connected? How does understanding the gospel allow you to be poor in the world but full of the Spirit?

 Alma 33:3-11 | How are our afflictions and sincerity an amplifier for our prayers? Elder Holland promised, “God hears every prayer we offer and responds to each of them according to the path He has outlined for our perfection.” How have you seen this in your life?

Alma 34:10 | Are the phrases “great and last sacrfice” and “infinite and eternal sacrifice” the same or is there a reason Amulek uses both? Does one build on the other? What do both phrases teach you about the worth of souls?
