Now that the holidays are over... (Part 3) | Ep. 52

This podcast touches the sacred golden cow of all holidays, Christmas. Nearly all of Christianity worldwide celebrates this holiday in some fashion. We will look into the roots and origins that go back further than 2000 years ago when Christ was born in the 1st century. Yes, it goes back, even before Christ was born, to a god named Mithra worshiped in the Persian empire. We will also see the Catholic church progressing through the dark ages and again getting involved with the pagan holidays of the peoples as its power and influence grows globally in many nations and tribes across the world. We'll also look into the evolution of this god-like character known as Santa Claus, or old St. Nick. We'll touch upon how he has evolved through the years and who was his or its inspiration.
