One of the defining aspects of the God of the Bible is He is described as the singular Creator of all things. This means that all things owe their existence to Him and they only continue to exist because He allows them to (Gen. 1:1; Col. 1:16, 17; Heb. 1:3). Even the ‘laws’ of Physics owe their existence to a Law-Giver! God is also the foundation of good, without which, humanity wouldn’t know or appreciate any goodness. Evil and death aren’t creations of God but are judgments against the rebellion against His goodness. Yet even in judgment, God’s amazing grace can be accessed because of His love. As the basis of the existence of the universe, goodness, and grace, God should be bragged about for what He has done (Ps. 19:1; 57:5; 1 Chron. 16:24). A good God should get good press!
