Path of the flood 14 miler: 1st overall 1:25:00 which equals out to a 6:04  pace.  Estatic I finally won this race. Got the big Johnstown 3 under my belt  now the Path, morleys and marathon. Amongst others in the area but the  big 3 is exciting.   Weather was perfect today 60° give or take a degree. Overcast as well.  Didn't mist a little bit towards end but nothing major. Trail was in  good shape only a few moist spots. Those were basically in the New  section thays actually trail, trail.   It was a rolling start starting at 7am then 8 was supposed to be a mass  start. But like 10 till 8 there was only 13 of us at start so I took off  with 2 minutes till 8. I got a running start to mat to shave a cpuple  seconds off time. I flew up first hill and immediatly regretted it. Legs  were on fire and lungs as well ran to fast, luckily didnt sink my race.  Since there be plenty of downhill to recover. Got locked in by picking  people off one by one who started ahead of me. That was strategy for  havong started near cutoff time to cross the mats could focus on hunting  people down I stead of trying to run fast and not worry about trying to  push for time. Still didn't like not kowing who was ahead who may be  running fast. There were a few people I was worried about.  Did have to poop like Mile 6 or 7. So.ehow held it in. Tried sucking it  back. Mind kept brining it up. Was gonna use portajohn at start 5k but  they weren't on course l. Also thought about just jumping in woods. But  again not knowing who was running fast prevented me from the luxury of  being able to poop..  Felt good all race. I attacked course best I could planning each section  out before getting to them. Time did seem to fly by quicker then  normal. Probably cause I wasn't running alone had people focus on.   Was aittle mixup with times. Having ran across mat full speed it didn't  pick up time when started but timer saw me start. Plus had GPS to  verify. Also couple people dropped to the 8 mile before race and thier  times didn't immediatly reflect the change. One dude who noone knew  changed was ahead of me for while till we figured it out would have ran  at a 5:10 pace for race. Which was a 1:14 time. Knew that was wrong. But  dude didn't stay so there was hesitation to take him off till I looked  up his past tines and could confirm he's not that fast. So it took about  2 hours before I officially was announced as winner.   Not much else happened. Just typical race and I don't have any real  battles except for within myself mentally.
