Rothrock trail challenge finished 3rd overall time of 3:07:10.47. This was step by step the hardest race over ever done. It was unforgiving. There was so many rocks it was ridiculous. The course was 16.60 miles according to watch. It had 3,861 feet of gain give or take a few. Not really runnable at any point except for maybe a mile the entire time. I paced off 2 guys for forst 4-5 miles. Which was nice since they knew course. So I didnt have to watch for flags. Lost them on a downhill. People were flying on the downhills. I couldnt risk it being so technical. Can't get hurt for work. Locked into 3rd for a while got to comfortable. People started catching up. Went a little harder once peopek caught up. Rest of race. Went from 2nd to 4 here and there. Took 3rd last half-length once hit road to finish race. Jumped over a snake thought it was water snake at time or brown but later on multiple people said rattlesnakes amd even took pictures of some in middle of course. Again cpurse was insanely rocky. Was out of my element. I could have done alot better cpuld have competed for top spot. But at time I didnt know how body would hold up being 4th race of weekend. Played more conservatively. Also was racing to earn points for the trailrunner series for king. Meaning I didn't want to blow up and have 2nd place in series pass me and gain ground on my lead. That was smart move. As bad as sucked it was still fun and a good test for my body and tap grot to see how I'd HD up. I'm not sore today at all so training is paying off. One nice thing about the race is the ability to jump in the pond amd cool off after. It was very needed. It was hot and humid all race long. I dod beat the little bit of rain by 15ish minutes.
