S1E20 Elderton 5k 1st overall 18:20.2 5/20/22

This is a race course preview for the Elderton 5k course. This race has  been going on for over 30 years now. In 2022 was its 34 annual event. A  Very longstanding traditional race.   This is usually a evening race on a Friday night. which is nice because  it gives yl u a different feel and at times brings out a digferent crowd  then your normal weekend warriors.   It isn't a easy course. somehow though it's a fast one. it has about 210  feet of gain for the 5k. The one notable thi g about the course is the  last hill. it gets everyone. it's not a huge hull but wjere it's at on  the course roughly 2.8 miles in gets people.   The course even though goes through town is closed off during the race.  The fire company, police and other volunteers make sure clurse is shut  off so runners dont have to worry about getting hit by a vehicle.  There are numerous people along the course watching in thier yards and  porches cheering you on, real nice community back for the race. Also  there is also a lady who has her garden hose out to spray you if you  would like to be cooled off a bit. which is also very nice.   They have generally given out trophies for top 3 overall and top 3 in  age groups. That's cool.  I would like to say Thank You to the Fireman who drove me in his atv to  video the course after I finished. It was a completely random thing I  asked him out of the blue amd he didnt hesitate to say yes. Again thank  you and it was very much appreciated.   Hope to see more new faces next year at this race. somce it is a good  one.
