Who are we really? In a world that is obsessed with self expression and inventing we are offered something deeper in the gospel.
This Sunday, Pastor Filmore launches us into our new series on what God says about us. We are not performers, producers, or spectators we are a royal priesthood. The world chases success to settle insecurities and to silence shame but in Christ our identity is never based on what we achieve or how we feel. We have been called out of darkness and invited into our true roles as priests.
As priests we are not passive observers but active participants. We bring our everyday praises, presence, and prayers as a sacrifice to God and lay it all down as His altar. We stop clinging on to the success and feelings and start trusting that if we bring the offering and God brings the outcome.
Jesus calls us to a life that is marked by surrender and not spotlight. A reminder that he doesnt just want our two hours on Sunday but our everyday. You are not tasked to prove yourself but you must bring yourself and fully trust that the Lord is enough.
