One Health Wednesdays highlights work in One Health to encourage awareness, solutions, and professional development. Dr. Noel Miranda is a veterinarian and independent consultant from the Philippines. He is a regional advisor for public health emergencies and One Health with ASEAN and vast experience working with other organizations such as the Ministry Department of Health in the Philippines and the World Health Organization. Dr. Miranda discusses his experience in One Medicine before it was known as One Health and the progressive transition to One Health, his work with avian influenza and ebola reston, and his shift into pandemic prevention and preparedness. He touches on the importance of biodiversity and indigenous people in One Health and shares his passion for the spirit of One Health.
