This is directly adapted from a Story Stephen Covey told many times.
I first read it about 25 years ago, when my father gave me a copy of the 7 Habits. This has stuck with me for all that time, and a story I read in the newspaper this morning drove me to my laptop to pound out this fictionalized story based on Stephen's version of the event.
