Popular culture loves to speculate about beings beyond our small planet. Conquerors, monsters, unknowable mysteries, or simply differently shaped versions of ourselves, it seems we have conjured every possible variation of the theme, yet the reality of actual contact eludes us.
In a universe so vast that other forms of life become basically inevitable, we have to wonder, why no one has stopped to meet us in all of this time. When we profess to desire membership into an interstellar community, why do we remain alone?
In this episode we explore possible theories for this silence. A change of tactic is laid out, and a new approach put forth. Ideas for new facilities and a change in values are presented, hopefully altering your perceptions of possibilities, and potentials.
