Honored to have one of my favorite people in the city, stand up and improv comedian, actor, teacher, sage, and father, David Rey Martinez (@davidreymartinez) on No Suggestion. Me and this week's guest co-host, comedian Will Purpura (@willpurpura) were stoked to have David up to Radio Free Brooklyn Studios to kick it and do some improv. And kick it we did! We chatted about James Earl Jones not being in the Darth Vader suit, flirtatious older women, we hear stories about David's powerful Jamaican grandmother, the 20 disciplines of comedy, a perilous misadventure with a bean burrito and more.
In the amidst all this we did manage to get into some spicy and hilarious improv scenes, including a scene about a guy who doesn't quite fit in struggling to make friends in a new neighborhood.
