This week we continue our summer project, 6S: Some Suggestions Sometimes Summer School Series. Each week this summer, on #NoSuggestionPod, we'll have on a performer, usually a comedian, with very little long-form improv experience. Me, and a few of past No Suggestion guests, all seasoned improv comedians, will give that guest a private improv class live on the show.
This week's guest is stand-up comedian, Steve Malden (@steve_malden). Steve is such a sweet guy, and as a we come to learn, a real creature of comedy. Co-host Aston Hollins (@astonhollins), and guest co-host Kristen Kirkley (@captainkirkley), and I have fun chatting with Steve about how a high school talent show started him in comedy, whether he wants to have kids, and about playing music. We also get into a bunch of ridiculous improv scenes, and Steve is such a natural.
We have a really great time getting to know Steve, and we know you will too. Please enjoy this episode of 6S, especially if you're curious about improv comedy and how it works. It's been a joy to expose people to the beauty of this form of comedy, and to use it as a jumping off point for really interesting conversations about comedy itself. We know you'll enjoy this episode as much as we enjoyed making it, and laugh as much as we did. Thanks for spending this hour with us!
