Sonia and Vivek kick off their wedding festivities by getting engaged surrounded by their extended family at the Kohli's house, sealing the deal with a huge diamond ring and Indian sweets (mithai).

The family participates in the engagement rituals of a Hindu arranged marriage and Aria does her best to play the role of a good Indian daughter.

Aria's mother is dissapointed about Aria's lack of enthusiasm for marriage.
