1.  The Demanding Person

2.  The Disapproving Person

3.  The Deafening Person

4.  The Destructive Person

5.  The Delicate Person

6.  The Demeaning Person

1. Come Correct

Luke 5:16 Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray

Do you have slip away time?

1. 2. Refuse to be offended.
2.
Matthew 11:2 And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples 3 and said to Him, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?”

John 1:29  “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

John 1:34 And I have seen and have borne witness that this  Jesus is the Son of God.”

Matthew 11:4 Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: 5 The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. 6 And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”

“God, give me a soft heart and a tough hide.”

Hurt people hurt people.

Proverbs 19:11, “A man’s wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense.”

3. Always take the high road

Jesus didn’t argue with people

Luke 4:28 All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. 29 They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him off the cliff. 30 But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way.

Romans 12:14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
 those who persecute you;

Romans 12:17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Romans 12:19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord. 20 On the contrary: ‘If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.’
21 Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.

4. Forgive before they apologize

Luke 23:34 Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they’re doing.”

Colossians 3:13, “You must make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive the person who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.”

“make allowance” = cut people some slack.
