Jesus didn't choose the sword, He chose the cup. 

Ephesians 4:2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

Our Gentleness Should Be Observed In How We Lead 

Numbers 12:3 Moses was a very meek and gentle man. In fact, he was more gentle than anyone else on the face of the earth.

1 Timothy 6:11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

2 Timothy 2:24-25 And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 25 Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth,
