If you are a "born-again Christian" then you were born into a war - not against human beings, but against dark spiritual powers. It is a war that Jesus has already won at the cross, but there are still battles to fight before it's all finally over. The enemy will attack anyone who sets out to live for God's kingdom, but God has given us the means to defend ourselves - the "full armour of God" (Ephesians 6).
