The prophet Isaiah was commissioned by God in a dramatic way. God gave him a clear vision of utter holiness, but also that God had cleansed him to be the bearer of a message. In the same way, we are called to be clear, to know we are cleansed, and to bring a message that will not be comfortable but which can bring comfort to those who hear it.
