The Jesus Resistance

Jesus resists the satanic temptation to save the world in ways that destroy it. He resist the temptation to be a mere social program, a violent conquerer, and a traveling showman. In Luke 4:1-13, Jesus is faithful to the way of the cross, rather than the sword. He chooses the way of making disciples over gathering crowds, and providing Bread from heaven, not just food for the stomach.
