All the power and love you need and long for are already yours in Jesus Christ. In Jesus' baptism (Matt. 3:13-17) he is empowered by the Holy Spirit and the Father's unconditional love for him is affirmed. As followers of Jesus, united to Christ in baptism, we receive the same power and love from the Father.
