This episode of the podcast features internationally award-winning, post-beat poet Will Staple. Will is also our neighbor and friend who lives out in the woods in a cabin he built himself with help from his beat poet friends such as Allen Ginsberg. Will tells us about his background & history, from the writing of his first poem as a child, to his friendship with fellow poets Allen Ginsberg, Gary Snyder, and Lew Welch, to his experiences teaching poetry in schools.
It was a great talk with this magnificent character. We took a break in between to have dinner--our homemade vegetarian lasagna and red wine. Will also reads selected poems from his beautiful book "Arrows Go Thru Hearts," which can be ordered at the link below. Get it.
