Netflix has released the first trailer for its film adaptation of Ruth Ware's bestselling novel, The Woman in Cabin 10, a psychological thriller starring Keira Knightley.
Knightley plays Lo Blacklock, a journalist on an exclusive cruise assignment who is already dealing with trauma from a recent home invasion. Her fragile state is put to the test when she witnesses what she believes is a body being thrown overboard from the neighboring Cabin 10.
However, when she reports the incident, she is told that all passengers are accounted for and that Cabin 10 has been empty the entire trip. This forces Lo—and the audience—to question her sanity. The trailer sets up a tense, paranoid mystery where she must determine if she's imagining things due to her trauma or if she has uncovered a dangerous conspiracy on the ship where she could be the next victim.
Directed by Simon Stone and also starring Guy Pearce, the film is set to premiere on Netflix this fall.
