The new all-ages comic book,  #1, features a surprise cameo from the cast of the infamous, unreleased 1994 Fantastic Four movie produced by Roger Corman.

In a scene where the newly-powered team is at a diner, the four main actors from that film are seen sitting in a background booth. The cameo includes Alex Hyde-White (Reed Richards), Rebecca Staab (Sue Storm), Jay Underwood (Johnny Storm), and Michael Bailey Smith (Ben Grimm, pre-Thing form).

The 1994 film has a legendary cult status because it was a low-budget production made solely to retain film rights and was never officially released. This "deep-cut" Easter egg in the new comic serves as a fun tribute for long-time fans, connecting the latest modern retelling of the team's origin to one of the most obscure and bizarre parts of their media history.
