SUPERMAN Behind-the-Scenes Video Discuss the Character’s Hope

James Gunn shared a brief behind-the-scenes video from the set of his upcoming film, now officially titled Superman (dropping the "Legacy" subtitle). Released around Superman's birthday, the video serves as a first glimpse into the production.

The clip features Gunn on set thanking the cast and crew, and importantly, shows principal actors David Corenswet (Clark Kent/Superman), Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), and Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor) together. Hoult is notably seen sporting Lex Luthor's classic bald look. The setting appears to be an office, possibly the Daily Planet.

While the video doesn't reveal plot details, it offers fans a first look at the core cast interacting and confirms the visual direction for Hoult's Luthor. It marks a key moment as production gets underway for the film that will launch Gunn's new DC Universe.

Superman is scheduled for release on July 11, 2025.
