LEGO has announced its largest and most expensive Star Wars set to date: a massive Death Star model priced at $999.99.[1] The "LEGO Star War Death Star – Ultimate Collector Series" set features 9,023 pieces, measuring 20.6 inches high, 18.9 inches wide, and 15.1 inches deep.[1] It includes recreated scenes and details from both A New Hope and Return of the Jedi, as well as nods to Rogue One, such as the trash compactor room, Emperor's throne room, Princess Leia's cell, and an Imperial shuttle hangar.[1] The set comes with 38 minifigures, including Luke Skywalker (Jedi and stormtrooper), Han Solo, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, C-3PO, R2-D2, Chewbacca, and Orson Krennic.[1] LEGO Insiders can purchase the set starting October 1, with general availability on October 4. Customers who buy the set between October 1 and 7 will also receive a free LEGO Star Wars TIE Fighter with Imperial Hangar Rack, while supplies last.
