Kristen Stewart and Oscar Isaac are set to star in Flesh of the Gods, a new vampire thriller directed by Panos Cosmatos, known for his visually distinct and surreal films like Mandy.
The movie, written by Andrew Kevin Walker (the screenwriter of Se7en), is described as a "hedonistic '80s vampire thriller." It is set in 1980s Los Angeles and follows a married couple, Raoul (Isaac) and Alex (Stewart), who leave their luxury high-rise condo each night to explore the city's vibrant nightlife. They are soon seduced into a "glamorous, surreal world of hedonism, thrills, and violence" by a mysterious and enigmatic figure.
Director Panos Cosmatos calls the film a "fever dream" that is both "propulsive and hypnotic." The project will be produced by Adam McKay and Oscar Isaac, with production scheduled to begin later this year.
