During an appearance on Michael Rosenbaum's "Inside of You" podcast, DC Studios co-head and director James Gunn revealed that his dream choice to play Jor-El, Superman's Kryptonian father, would be Bradley Cooper.
However, Gunn was quick to emphasize that this is not an official casting announcement. He clarified that the role has not been cast yet and that this was simply his personal wish for who he would "love" to see in the part.
The connection between Gunn and Cooper comes from the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, where Cooper provides the voice for Rocket Raccoon. Gunn's comment came in response to a question about which Guardians actor he would bring into his new DC Universe for the upcoming film, Superman.
